BOISE, Idaho--Amber Dolphin King recently joined Horizon Credit Union as regional vice president.
After spending over a decade based on the east coast, she returned home to Boise seeking a challenging, new role. When asked why she chose Horizon she says, “[Horizon] is a rapidly growing organization spanning four states. There is so much opportunity and sharing HZCU with our communities excites me.”
As regional VP, Dolphin King serves as the strategic leader, focusing on maximizing growth and performance, elevating legendary member service and raising awareness of their brand while positively impacting the organization’s communities. She reports to Horizon’s COO, Mark Neumann, and leads the retail channels and business development teams. Dolphin King brings an energetic leadership style to her role combined with extensive experience in corporate and consumer financing.
After graduating from Boise State University, she spent over a decade in New York City leading retail branch teams and growing diverse markets for JP Morgan Chase and Capital One Bank. In 2020, she decided it was time to return home and moved back to the Boise area with her family, working as a business banking relationship officer with Idaho Central Credit Union. Though she enjoyed NYC, she is passionate about the Treasure Valley region and is excited to collaborate in making Horizon’s strategic plan come to life.
“The best part about [Horizon] is their ability to own our current situation and be open to feedback. I appreciate everyone’s humbleness and their desire to work together for the greater good. From the CEO on down, we all win as one honoring ideas, opinions and successes. For an organization to be this large and stay humble is very impressive,” she said.
