Kirtland FCU Opens First Micro-Branch

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.– Kirtland Federal Credit Union (KFCU) has opened its first micro-branch inside the Base Exchange on Kirtland Air Force Base to serve military members, families, base employees and contractors. The 735-square-foot branch will be supported by eight employees and offer the full range of products and services, including checking and savings accounts, automobile, boat and RV loans, credit cards and a variety of personal loans, the credit union said.

According to KFCU, the new micro-branch will utilize streamlined transaction zones and technology for expedient member service. The branch will be open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A CU Anytime ATM machine is located outside the branch front doors, providing members quick access to their accounts. KFCU members receive free ATM transactions at 30,000 ATMs nationwide via the CU Anytime network.

“This new micro-branch packs a full-service branch in a very small space,” said Sarah J. Horten, chief retail and lending officer at Kirtland Federal Credit Union. “We are thrilled to have this branch now open - where people shop, eat, and run their daily errands. With our expanded hours, it will make banking so much easier for our members.”
