LA Federal Staff Create 4,500 Food Kits, & Other Neighborhood News

LOS ANGELES –To help fight hunger in Los Angeles County, seventeen Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) employees, helped create 4,500 food kits at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

The kits contained wild pink salmon, two cans of diced tomatoes, applesauce, dried beans, dry cereal, low fat milk, and apple juice. The kits were later distributed to thousands of local families in time for Thanksgiving. Later, LAFCU President/CEO John Dea, presented LA Regional Food Bank President/CEO Michael Flood a $2,500 check donation, which will go toward the purchase of an additional 10,000 meals to be distributed during the remaining holiday season. Each year LAFCU contributes volunteer and financial resources to help the Food Bank fulfill its noble vision: that no one in LA County goes hungry.
