LAFCU Donates $10K to Help Members, Employees After Fires

GLENDALE, Calif.– Following one of the most destructive wildfires in California history, the Carr fire in Shasta and Trinity Counties, Los Angeles FCU has donated $10,000 to help members and staff of Sierra Central Credit Union and Members First Credit Union, both with numerous members and employees in the area.

The Carr Fire led to 38,000 people being evacuated, and 1,600 structures (including 1,100 homes) being destroyed. At its peak, it burned 229,000 acres (359 square miles).

LAFCU President/CEO Richard Lie is visiting both credit unions to personally to present donation checks. Sierra Central has 66,000 members and $973 million in assets and Members First has 20,000 members and $200 million in assets.
