LAFCU Hosts Fraud Roundtable

GLENDALE, Calif.–Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) hosted a Fraud Round Table discussion here at its corporate headquarters. The forum was conducted by Allied Solutions and was attended by representatives from 21 credit unions throughout Southern California who shared experiences and collaborated on best practices to combat fraud.

Art Sookazian, LAFCU’s VP of Special Services & Risk Management, first welcomed the attendees and said he was grateful for the honor to provide a forum for everyone to come together to discuss issues affecting the industry. He introduced Ann Davison, VP of Risk Consulting & Fraud Risk Expert, and Mark Chapman, Bond Consultant, both of Allied Solutions, who conducted discussions on data breaches, card fraud, loan fraud, and more, LAFCU reported.

“Those assembled discussed the threats impacting the credit union industry,” LAFCU said. “They also shared tools and ideas on how best to counter and prevent fraud, including the latest technological tools and enhanced security layers for managing risk. Participants walked away with a better understanding of best practices and proactive steps to mitigate and prevent fraud.”
