GLENDALE, Calif.–– Los Angeles FCU (LAFCU) raised $13,500 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) during a fundraiser.
Donations were made by members transferring funds from their mobile/online banking accounts, from our PayPal site, and in its branches. For every dollar raised, LAFCU matched up to $5,000 through LAFCU’s charity, the Los Angeles Charitable Association.
The credit union said “The Children’s Fund” will help pay for:
- Family-centered care that treats the psycho-social needs of all patients and their families.
- Specialized pediatric care, including 100 subspecialties
- Surgical excellence and innovation, including 17,000 complex surgeries performed on pediatric patients per year
- Clinical pediatric research center devoted exclusively to children
- Education and training of future pediatric specialists
