| LONG BEACH, Calif.–LBS Financial Credit Union partnered with Southern California Shredding Services to offer the community an opportunity to safely and securely dispose of sensitive documents. The second annual shred event took place at LBS Financial’s Long Beach Marina branch located at 6457 East Pacific Coast Highway. “On the designated day, cars were lined up as early as an hour before the event with boxes of old documents such as medical records, tax forms, and outdated financial statements,” the credit union said. It added the employee volunteers and branch staff happily assisted with transferring the boxes of documents to the shred truck. Southern California Shredding representative shared that it was a very successful event and resulted in the shredding of more than five tons of paper. |
“Our members’ trust and the safety of their information is top priority, and by hosting this event, we were able to provide peace of mind that their documents were safely discarded,” LBS Financial President & CEO Sean Hardeman said in a statement.
