LGE Community Opens New Branch

WOODSTOCK, Ga.–LGE Community Credit Union has opened its new Towne Lake branch, located at 936 Towne Lake Pkwy in Woodstock.

The new location is LGE's 14th branch overall and third in Cherokee County.

The official grand opening celebration featured a ceremonial ribbon cutting with the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, with refreshments from the Circle of Friends Coffee Shop and Nothing Bundt Cakes, both located in Woodstock.

Both Chris Leggett, president and CEO of LGE, and Pamela Carnes, president and CEO of the Cherokee Chamber, gave remarks about the new location. Notable members of the Cherokee County community were also in attendance, including Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell, Cherokee County Commission Chairman Harry Johnston, and Cherokee County Sheriff Frank Reynolds.

“We’re thrilled to continue LGE’s growth in Cherokee County with our new Towne Lake branch,” says Leggett. “Convenient branch locations are just one of the many ways LGE continues to provide members with exceptional service and value.”

In the spirit of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” the LGE Community Outreach Foundation presented a $1,000 donation to Circle of Friends, a nonprofit organization focused on addressing the needs of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Cherokee County.

The Towne Lake branch is managed by Marcus Porch, who has been with LGE since 2015. Ashley Rowe Harwell is LGE's lead business development representative in Cherokee County, serving the Canton, Towne Lake, and Woodstock branches.
