NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Langley FCU awarded 22 $500 grants to local educators for their financial literacy education efforts. In total, Langley provided $11,000 to fund innovative classroom programs, teaching students budgeting, saving and spending skills.
"It is so important to provide students with the basics of financial management. A good foundation gives young people the opportunity to develop disciplined saving and spending habits which will serve them well throughout their lives," stated Langley President/CEO Tom Ryan. "We applaud all of the efforts these educators have made with these programs."
