Langley For Families Foundation Supports Smart Beginnings

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Langley for Families Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Langley FCU, presented a $2,600 check to Smart Beginnings for the 5th Annual Directors' Academy.

The event was held at Christopher Newport University and is the premier opportunity for area child care leaders to come together and learn strategies for operating a successful business through a variety of interactive seminars.

"We are pleased to support the 5th Annual Directors' Academy," stated Langley for Families Foundation Chairperson Marilyn Kuhn. "This year over 30 child care centers will participate in the academy, impacting hundreds of children across the community."

The first day is centered around best practices in business while the second focuses on strategies for providing a quality educational experience for children so they are ready for Kindergarten.
