HYATTSVILLE, Md. – The Library of Congress Federal Credit Union is once again supporting the Library of Congress National Book Festival as a Friends Sponsor.
The 2024 National Book Festival will be held Saturday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. It will feature more than 90 authors, poets and writers in a range of formats — all celebrating the festival theme, “Books Build Us Up.” This marks the17th year the credit union has supported the National Book Festival.
"We are honored to once again be a sponsor of the Library of Congress National Book Festival," said President and CEO Jennifer Hurst in a statement. "This year’s theme celebrates the value of reading. We believe the library community advances America’s great story. We are proud to support the Library of Congress and all they do.”
The National Book Festival was co-founded in 2001 by First Lady Laura Bush and the Library of Congress and is free and open to everyone. Most authors will participate in book signings following their events.
In addition, PBS Books will once again sit down with featured authors from this year’s Festival to discuss the stories behind their stories during the 2024 Library of Congress National Book Festival Virtual Author Talk Series.
