HYATTSVILLE, Md.– The Library of Congress FCU again supported the Library of Congress National Book Festival as a Friends Sponsor.

The 2023 National Book Festival was held at the Washington Convention Center and featured more than 70 authors, poets and writers in a range of formats — all celebrating the festival theme, “Everyone Has a Story.”

This year marked the16th year the Credit Union has supported the National Book Festival.

"We are honored to once again be a sponsor of the Library of Congress National Book Festival," said Gary Mandelkorn, VP/interim president/CEO of Library of Congress FCU. "This year’s theme celebrates the storyteller in us all. We believe the library community advances America’s great story. We are proud to give back and support the Library of Congress and all they do.”

The National Book Festival was co-founded in 2001 by former first lady Laura Bush and the Library of Congress and was free and open to everyone. Most authors participated in book signings following their events.
