MBC's Casual Dress Days Lead to $14K in Donations

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan Business Connection (MBC) reported that during 2018, using funds collected from its casual dress down days, it donated $14,614 to 12 different charities, with an average of $1,200 going to each.

Based on recommendations from staff, MBC said it selects a charity focus each month to receive a donation from MBC casual days funds. MBC employees who participate are able to wear blue jeans or other casual attire on Fridays. 

The 2018 Charities that received donations were: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washtenaw County, Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living, Friendship Circle, Arthritis Foundation, Food Gatherers, Friends in Deed Washtenaw, Children’s Miracle Network, Folds of Honor Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Proud Parents of Loss, Trails Edge Camp (U of M), Volunteers of America Michigan Adopt a Family.
