COLUMBIA, Md.– Credit unions and their business partners came together to help raise over $58,500 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) at the MD|DC Credit Union Association’s Annual Charity Golf Classic.
One-hundred-twenty golfers participated in the tournament at Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club in Columbia, Md.. As its charity of choice, the credit union industry has raised more than $150 million for CMN Hospitals over the past 25 years.
“I want to thank our credit unions and business partners for their generous support, in particular event sponsor CUNA Mutual Group and CO-OP Financial Services for its Miracle Match Program,” said John Bratsakis, President/CEO of MD|DC Credit Union Association and Credit Unions for Kids Advisory Board Chair. “Through their continued support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the credit union industry is helping families access the specialized care provided by children’s hospitals. It’s a great example of how the collaborative spirit of credit unions has a real impact on communities and makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children facing serious health challenges.”
Money raised will fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, and charitable care at two local CMN Hospitals - Children’s National in Washington, D.C., and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore.
"Children's National Hospital is so grateful for our longstanding partnership with area credit unions. Every dollar raised through events like this, allows us to not only provide, but increase access to, world class care right here in our community.”
