MIAMI–MPS Credit Union hosted its third annual Scholarship Challenge to help their young member-owners with their higher education. This year, the credit union awarded five scholarships of $1,000 each to put towards the college of their choice.
The 2018 MPS Credit Union Scholarship Challenge recipients were chosen by the Scholarship Committee based on academic achievement, community service and a written essay or 60-second video entry on a preselected topic. In addition, applicants must be a member in good standing, meet a minimum GPA, and be enrolled in an accredited college/university in Fall 2018.
“It is encouraging to see the group of talented and deserving young people who apply each year, though it makes it a tremendous challenge for the committee to choose the recipients from a group of such outstanding young members,” said Jennifer Gerson, Vice President of Marketing at MPS Credit Union.
