MSUFCU Marks 25 Years Of Blue Mondays With Final Concert Of Season

EAST LANSING, Mich.— MSU Federal Credit Union said it wrapped up the 25th season of its Blue Mondays Concert Series on March 9, marking another year of its Jazz Artist in Residence Program in partnership with Michigan State University’s College of Music.

The program brings nationally recognized jazz musicians to campus to work alongside MSU jazz studies faculty in mentoring high school and college students, while also performing for the public at MSUFCU headquarters during their week-long residencies.

This season’s Blue Mondays lineup featured jazz trumpeter Sean Jones on Oct. 6, 2025, vocalist René Marie on Dec. 1, 2025, and drummer Harvey Mason on March 9, 2026. Across the three performances, the series drew 723 attendees, with MSUFCU staff on hand at each event to connect with community members.

“The Monday concerts at MSUFCU that kick off each residency are a tremendous gift to greater Lansing,” said James B. Forger, dean of the MSU College of Music. MSUFCU Vice President of Community Impact Arianna Ridderbusch said the 25-year milestone reflects the credit union’s long-running commitment to making live music accessible and bringing world-class talent to the local community.
