PHOENIX–Representatives of the Mountain West Credit Union Association recently led a group of CEOs from member credit unions on a high-level “hike the hill” trip in Washington.
The group participated in meetings that ranged from political to public policy. Meetings included time with the NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee) to talk congressional races around the nation. They also discussed policy issues with the House Majority Leader’s office, the Pew Foundation and members of Congress from around the nation, the MWCUA said.
In addition, the delegation met with Rep. Martha McSally and Rep Andy Biggs from Arizona, and Senators John Barrasso and Cory Gardner from Wyoming and Colorado, respectively.
The group also had a chance to meet with the head of IT for the White House, who explained the complexities and challenges of securing the White House technology, and led a private tour of the White House West Wing and the executive office building.
