PALMER, Alaska– Matanuska Valley FCU is celebrating their 75th Anniversary serving members and providing financial services to those within the state of Alaska and the Waipahu Neighborhood Board #22 of the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii.
City of Palmer Mayor Steve Harrington, presented MVFCU CEO Ed Gravley a plaque proclaiming it Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union Day in honor of its 75 years of community service.
As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations, MVFCU is having one day celebrations at each of its branches throughout the year. Free give-a-ways, food trucks and special door prizes like a Traeger Grill, Craftsman Generator and Yeti cooler are all part of each celebration.
“I was the 2nd person to enter the building when it first opened and I still have my account with you even today,” said one community member.
Another prize winning member shared, “I never win anything! You guys are the best! I can really just take it? I’ve never seen anyone give away anything that was actually valuable. These are things we would actually use.”
MVFCU has been providing financial services to its members in Alaska and Hawaii since 1948.
