HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.--Lisa C. McGuinness, first female Chair of the Board at Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union (OFFCU) and alumna of Sacred Heart Academy (SHA), was one of the graduates honored at Sacred Heart’s Leadership Awards Dinner on Friday, March 22.
The Leadership Awards Dinner is an annual fundraising event in which all proceeds raised directly go towards SHA scholarships.
This year, approximately 325 people, including alumni and financial supporters of Sacred Heart were in attendance, with a goal of raising $62,000 for scholarships. The total number of funds raised at the event was $103,660, surpassing their goal.
“I am humbled and honored to be recognized by my alma mater,” said McGuinness. “The skills that I have gained and the relationships that I have made throughout my time at Sacred Heart have shaped me into the person that I am today. I am proud to be an alumna of Sacred Heart.”
