Member One Delivers 110 Easter Baskets

ROANOKE, Va. – In keeping with the true spirit of the holiday, Member One employees delivered 110 Easter baskets to patients in Carilion Children’s Hospital on Good Friday.

The brainchild of a group of Member One staff, the credit union’s employees responded enthusiastically to the call to make Easter baskets filled with goodies for sick children.

“No one wants to be in the hospital over a holiday—least of all kids,” said Kim Braswell, Chief Administrative Officer for Member One. “Our employees banded together willingly and enthusiastically to bring a little happiness to some sick children. I’m so incredibly proud of our team.”

The gesture was not lost on Sarah Kress, Lead Certified Child Life Specialist at Carilion Children’s.

“We were absolutely delighted when Member One contacted us with their suggestion to bring Easter baskets to our young patients,” said Kress. “But we certainly never expected to receive such a staggering amount of baskets. The look on the children’s faces when they were presented with their gifts was priceless.”
