ROANOKE, Va.– Member One FCU has signed a two-year sponsorship agreement of the Taubman Museum's educational programming and exhibitions. A Portrait of George Washington: The Man, The Soldier, and The President was the first exhibition funded in part by Member One’s sponsorship.
The George Washington exhibition began in February 2016. It explores the national significance of the legacy of George Washington through important personal effects, art, and historic objects, explaining how they shaped our country’s values today, the CU stated. Member One’s educational sponsorship, which will carry through 2017, brings in school and adult tours, after school programs, and professional development opportunities for teachers. School tours correlate with the Standards of Learning tests for Virginia public schools.
