ROANOKE, Va.–Member One Federal Credit Union announced that Nick Hart, Vice President of Marketing, has been promoted to Director of Marketing & Business Development.
“I am tremendously excited to lead the combined marketing and business development initiatives going forward,” said Hart. “In the short time I have been with Member One, I have witnessed the incredible potential that exists within our footprint, particularly in terms of extending the credit union’s unique service model to our communities.” Hart said.
Since joining the credit union in December 2015, Hart has built a strong marketing team from scratch while keeping Member One’s brand and message consistent.
Paul Economy, Chief Retail Officer at Member One, is delighted to have Hart leading Member One’s marketing and business development strategies. “Nick’s leadership and dedication to the credit union are a model for all. We are truly fortunate to have such a professional on our team,” Economy said.
Hart’s promotion aligns with the recent restructuring of the marketing and business development departments at Member One. The two departments were joined to create a cohesive, synergistic unit that will boost collaboration and strengthen partnerships across the credit union, including Member One’s partner companies.
Hart is a seasoned marketer with significant experience, particularly in the financial services sector, in both the U.S. and his native England.
Following a successful career as an advertising account executive and copywriter in London, England, Hart moved to the U.S. in 1991. He began his American marketing career as senior copywriter for The Alpha Group, an advertising agency located in Asheville, NC. He subsequently served as copy director at First Union, now Wells Fargo, in Charlotte, NC.
Immediately prior to joining Member One, Hart founded and co-owned an advertising agency, Cotton and Crown, in Charlotte, NC, with several clients in the financial sector.
