ROANOKE, Va.–Member One Federal Credit Union was a proud sponsor of the 14th annual Guns & Hoses Charity Hockey Game, held at the Berglund Center in Roanoke.
Member One has participated in this event for several years and hosted the “Puck Shot Game” where attendees enter a drawing for their chance to take a shot at goal and win up to $500. This year, Steven Rexrode of Roanoke made the shot from the blue line and was awarded $250 by Member One FCU.

Guns and Hoses is an annual charity hockey game played to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Each year, the Roanoke-area firefighters (the “Hoses”) take on a team of Roanoke-area police officers and law enforcement personnel (the “Guns”). With a capacity crowd of 6,500 in attendance, $38,000 was raised for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The event has now raised $287,150 in its 14-year history.
