ANN ARBOR, Mich.-- Michigan Business Connection has hired Brian G. McVeigh as its new Chief Financial Officer.
In his role at MBC McVeigh will lead financial reporting, regulatory compliance, risk management and all other accounting activities, the company said.
McVeigh has served as a CFO in the financial services industry for more than 25 years. Most recently he was a part of the senior leadership team at Vibe Credit Union where he oversaw finance, accounting, IT, risk management, card services and internal audit. Throughout his career in the credit union industry McVeigh has served on numerous boards and committees, including the CUNA CFO executive committee, the board of directors for CU Student Choice, the finance committee for CU Wallet and the partners’ steering committee for the Trust for Credit Unions.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Michigan State University. McVeigh has been active in local nonprofit organizations, serving on multiple boards, including St. Vincent’s Catholic Charities, Lansing Catholic High School and the Lansing Diocese Schools Task Force.
