JACKSON, Mich. – Michigan Community Credit Union has named the winner of its Green Checking promotion, which was open to all members who opened an MCCU Green Checking Account.
Joshua Gaston is the grand prize winner of $1000. The Green Checking Account provides a full range of services at no cost to their members, including no minimum balance requirements, no per check fee, no restrictions or hidden charges, free Online, Mobile & Text Banking, free Online e-Statements & Bill Pay, free Debit Card with rewards, 24-hour ATM access at more than 28,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide, Courtesy Pay, and Online check ordering, as well as the opportunity to earn dividends. Meanwhile, MCCU has also named the winner of its quarterly Forward Thinking Partnership Program grants: Jackson Storyfest and Townsend Elementary. Jackson Storyfest received $500 to help fund the 27th annual cultural and educational storytelling event.
Townsend Elementary received $1,000 to help fund its Visiting Author Program, and will bring in Michigan author, Monica Harris, to do presentations and workshops with all of its staff and students.
