MIDDLETOWN, Penn. and GREENSBORO, N.C.– Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union and First Carolina Corporate Credit Union held a competition among their member credit unions to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.
All the money was collected one coin at a time through Credit Unions for Kids’ (CU4Kids) “Change a Child’s Life” coin collection campaign.
In addition to the change collected by the participating credit unions, Mid-Atlantic Corporate and First Carolina Corporate raised funds internally through the Change a Child’s Life coin collection campaign.
In all, the competing credit unions, as well as both corporates, raised a grand total of $5,628.42 for various CMN Hospitals.
“With this being the 20th anniversary of CU4Kids, we thought we’d pay homage to the partnership between CU4Kids and CMN Hospitals by collaborating in our own way to raise money for kids in need,” said Erin Doan, administration and community relations director for Mid-Atlantic Corporate. “By coming together, our credit unions have truly demonstrated the mission of ‘people helping people’ and helped to change the lives of young patients in our local children’s hospitals.”
