SCARBOROUGH, Maine– Monique Gorey has been appointed to Town & Country Credit Union's credit union’s Board of Directors. She replaces long-time board member Wilfred Couture, who recently retired from the board.
Ms. Gorey knows and understands credit unions. During her career, she worked with the Maine Credit Union League as a customer service representative, served as a loan manager for Portland Regional Federal Credit Union and was assistant branch manager for Town & Country. Today, Ms. Gorey works for the Scarborough School department as an Ed Tech III in the guidance office. She is a member of the Wellness Committee for Wentworth School and served as Treasurer/Vice President of the Scarborough Booster Clubs at Scarborough High School. She is a graduate of St. Joseph College.
According to CEO Dave Libby, “Monique is an excellent fit for Town & Country’s Board of Directors. She not only has years of credit union experience, she is active in the community and embraces the concept of “people helping people,” which is the core of what a credit union is about.”
Town & Country’s board is made up of seven volunteer directors elected to three-year terms by the general membership. Libby also announced that Jane Torres, Membership Director for Portland Country Club and Chair of the credit union Board; Josh Fifield, an Account Executive with Clark Insurance Company and Board Secretary; and Anne Connolly, an Employee Benefits Consultant with Benefits Concepts to Completion and board member, were re-elected to three-year terms.
