Montana's CUs Partner to Help Food Bank

HELENA, Mont.–Montana's Credit Unions partnered with Dinners Done Right to help the Friendship Center fill its freezer.

The Friendship Center helps people who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault.

Each credit union has provided volunteers and money to prepare and donate 50 meals each month to women and children staying at the Center.

Rocky Mountain Credit Union created 75 meals, the most made by a business so far, the MCUA said.

Montana Credit Unions are challenging more businesses to volunteer to create meals.

Vikki Bohlman, owner of Dinners Done Right, and Tracie Kenyon, the president and CEO of Montana's Credit Unions, said they are happy to work together and with so many other businesses.

"To help the residents as they are transitioning in really difficult situations, it feels great to be a part of this," Kenyon said.
