HELENA, Mont.— Montana’s Credit Unions (MCU) is is reporting it has successfully relaunched its Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) “Brawl of the Wild” football icon fundraiser benefiting Shodair Children’s Hospital (Shodair), Montana’s only Children’s Miracle Network hospital.
Twenty-five credit unions from around the state participated in the fundraiser and donated $25,000 to Shodair.
In total, the Cats repeated their cross-state victory in our own contest with 8,655 icons sold in support of their team, in comparison to 7,064 for the Griz. In addition to the icons sold in support of the Cats or the Griz, more than $9,500 in cash contributions was donated by credit unions, their members, Shodair, and MCU.
Though MCU said it has accomplished its four-year goal — in just two years — of raising $50,000 to support Shodair’s Building Hope for Montana Families capital campaign, we don’t intend to stop now. These funds will assist Shodair in constructing their new hospital in Helena, allowing them to provide access to care for all Montana families in need, and we’re committed to helping them provide that care.
