Montgomery County EFCU Celebrating 50th Anniversary

GERMANTOWN, Md.– Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union is marking its 50th anniversary.

MC EFCU, which primarily serves Montgomery County government employees, along with members from a variety of other local businesses, is marking their golden anniversary by kicking off a year-long celebration of the credit union in 2018.

MCEFCU’s 50th anniversary marks a special milestone, as it said it has maintained a consistent field of membership and name throughout its entire history.

“MC EFCU has such a rich and unique history in Montgomery County,” said Jim Norris, MCEFCU CEO. “We’re very proud of our heritage and our commitment to serving the financial needs of Montgomery County employees. The one thing that has continued to make this credit union successful is our focus on growth and asking, ‘what’s next?’ That’s what has allowed us to stay true to our core membership and to who we are through the past 50 years.”

The 50th anniversary will be celebrated throughout 2018 with various member activities and promotions, while being commemorated with a limited-edition 50th anniversary credit union logo.
