WESTBURY, N.Y.–Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union teamed up with Kindred at Home to donate 532 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Mary Brennan INN, located in Hempstead, N.Y. These items will go to families in need in the local community.
Nassau Financial also matched the donations in the form of a check for $2,625 payable to the Mary Brennan INN in order to support their food kitchen and local community efforts.
“The Mary Brennan INN is an organization that positively makes a huge difference in the community and has really impacted us on more than just a personal level today,” said John T. DeCelle, president and CEO of Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union. “We are delighted to partner with such an amazing organization to give back to the community and help those in need,“ he said. “Normally we know that people want to help, but they may not have the time to do it,“ said Cynthia Sucich, Director of Corporate & Community Relations of the Mary Brennan INN as she conducted a tour of the INN. “But when their employer allows them to come down, volunteer, and have that experience, I guarantee that your life will change forever, you’ll never be able to be the same again,” she said.
