SOMERVILLE, Mass.--Naveo Credit Union’s Scholarship Committee awarded four scholarships of $1,000 each to local students during its Annual Meeting.
Scholarship recipients for the 2015-2016 school year were Paula Da Silva of Cambridge, Paula Ferreira of Somerville, Jonathan Lentini of Somerville and Nicole Oliveira of Malden. Scholarship recipients are anonymously selected based on financial need, scholastic merit as well as community and school involvement, the credit union said.
Named after former board members for their dedication to education, the Carlos Faria and Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship Fund has been a part of the Credit Union since the 1980’s.
