SOMERVILLE, Mass.--Naveo Credit Union collaborated with Somerville Local First (SLF) to host a free Business Financing 101 workshop at its Somerville Branch for SLF members. The workshop, which also featured representatives from the SBA, provided local business owners and entrepreneurs with information about starting a business and the financing options as well as resources available to them.
The Somerville Local First and Naveo reported they both saw an opportunity to work together to provide guidance to small business owners on the best practices in business financing. This is the second time SLF and Naveo have jointly offered local businesses a financial education and resources workshop.
“These workshops are a great forum for the exchange of ideas and resources between business owners and entrepreneurs on the one hand, and finance professionals on the other,” said Albert Pinho, VP-lending at Naveo Credit Union.
Naveo said it plans to offer additional workshops in collaboration with SLF in the future.
