NORTH PORT, Fla.–Achieva Credit Union has opened a new branch here, including a new prototype design that eliminates traditional teller lines in favor of more personal service.
The former bank location was remodeled by the credit union.
“No more bank teller lines,” said Achieva Market Vice President Susan Lacey. “Instead, each member will be greeted at the door by an Achieva representative and given personal attention.”
The design takes cues from the concierge-like service at modern hotels, Lacey said. Achieva staff will meet each member at the front door and work side-by-side with them to make deposits, withdrawals, look up information and explore other potential services.
This side-by-side service, Lacey said, better reflects the values of Achieva to provide a higher level of service to members of the credit union.
This new branch replaces a former Achieva branch site just a few miles away.
“We did our homework with this location,” Lacey said. “We will be closer to our members, and able to provide them with much better service.” The new site will have a branch manager, two assistants and four universal staff who can assist members with a range of transactions and inquiries – from CDs and credit cards to car loans and mortgages. Staff from the prior location are relocating to the Sycamore Street site, Lacey said, and as the community grows, she expects staffing at the new Achieva site will as well.
Achieva said it is converting many of its 24 branch locations in Florida to this new model of service, and all new locations are being built with this new design in mind.
