SAGINAW, Mich.–Less than a year after opening a new branch here, Dow Credit Union is reporting the branch has seen an influx of new members, with more than 500 individuals joining.
When it was founded, credit union membership was limited to Dow Chemical Company employees. Today, membership is open to anyone who makes a $10 donation to the “Multipliers for Good” fund that supports regional community initiatives.
"We are very thankful for the overwhelming response from the community over the last ten months, and it is exciting to see the membership and deposit growth as our message gets out about the outstanding products and responsive member service that our people deliver every day," President and CEO Michael Goad said in a statement. "While we embrace digital banking for its convenience and innovations, the new Saginaw branch has clearly helped our people to foster deeper connections and provide personalized service and counsel."
The credit union said that surpassing $21 million in deposits underscores its commitment to growth and service excellence within Saginaw and beyond.
“Our top priority is to the financial well-being of our members,” Member Experience Manager Emily Migut said in a statement. “We have received overwhelming community support, and we are eager to join members on their financial journeys. We look forward to continuing to establish face-to-face relationships and being a part of the Saginaw community.”
