WILLISTON, Vt.– New England Federal Credit Union has awarded five $5,000 scholarships to applicants who have shown scholastic excellence and are interested in advancing their education in any field of study.
“The volume and quality of applications we received was a strong reflection of our member’s exceptional academic achievements and community engagement,” said Sarah Ricker, community relationship manager at NEFCU. “We were impressed with the over 100 students who are on a path for knowledge and strengthening their financial future.”
The winners:
- Aiyana Auer of St. Albans, who is studying at Endicott College to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Jacob Medici of Williston, who is studying Computer Science and Mathematics at Northeastern University.
- Peyton Metruk of Fairfax, who is an English major at Wesleyan University
- Rory McLane of Worcester, who is pursuing a degree in Finance at Washington University, St. Louis.
- Sydney Taft Cole of Duxbury, who is a double major in Environmental Studies and Spanish with a minor in Biology at Eckerd College.\
