NEW ORLEANS–New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union (NOFFCU) has received several honors, while separately awarding scholarships.
NOFFCU was recognized in the Times-Picayune’s Top Workplaces 2022. The Times-Picayune recognizes standout job providers in the New Orleans area. Workplaces are ranked using employee engagement surveys measuring workplace culture and performance.
“We are humbled to be recognized again as a top workplace in the New Orleans area,” said NOFFCU CEO Judy DeLucca. “This achievement represents the work of our team to support each other across departments on a daily basis. We are united in our mission to serve our members.”
NOFFCU has been recognized as the Top Winner in the New Orleans CityBusiness 2022 Reader Ranking Awards in the Credit Union category.
The Reader Ranking Awards recognize outstanding businesses across a range of industries in the Metropolitan Orleans area. Results are driven by readers who nominate and vote for their top businesses.
“It is truly an honor to be voted top credit union in our area for the second year in a row,” said DeLucca. “This recognition, decided by those in our community, reinforces our commitment to ‘people helping people.’ We appreciate the trust our members have put in us and will always put them first.”
In addition, NOFFCU awarded 10 recipients as part of the Donald T. Bock Scholarship Program.
NOFFCU selected 10 members to receive a $1,000 scholarship to apply to their college
expenses. The applicants were required to submit their ACT/SAT scores, high school standing, and answer a series of essay questions.
NOFFCU said it selects one member from each branch, plus one employee family member. Bryson Andras, Gracie Foret, Jordan Colin, Julia Fielding, Lilith
Lodge, Mackenzie Doody, Marissa Duhe, Sophia McKean, Paris-Lanell Smith, and Valerie Bowling were named the 2022 scholarship recipients.
