CHESTERFIELD, Mo.–NewGround has named David Pendleton as Director of Pre-Construction. As a new addition to the team, David will provide oversight, leadership, and development for NewGround by managing internal and external resources in support of estimating and bidding efforts.
With over 36 years of experience in the construction industry, David has extensive knowledge— in both the financial and healthcare fields—in general construction, design-build, and construction/program management. His pre-construction management focus includes proposal development, conceptual through final definitive estimates, constructability, bidding, and value engineering.

David has served as Manager of Estimating, Deputy Director of Construction, and VP & CAO for numerous national and international projects, including St. Louis Children’s Hospital, U.S. Airforce Staging Facilities in Qatar, Kiel Center Arena, Dulles Metrorail, and the Lawrence Livermore National Ignition Facility.

Before joining the NewGround team, David spent 29 years at Jacobs Engineering. He is a Certified Professional Estimator and a member of the Society of American Value Engineers.
