HERNDON, Va. - Northwest Federal Credit Union treated members and their families to celebrations at all seven of its branches on Saturday, April 25, in recognition of members’ support throughout the year. The Herndon branch also held a Youth Club Carnival in honor of National Credit Union Youth Month, which included games, train rides, a bounce house, face painting, a balloon artist, and food. In addition, the other branches threw parties featuring prizes, drawings and refreshments.
President/CEO Chris McDonald said the days’ activities provided an opportunity to express appreciation for Northwest Federal’s loyal members. “We know our member-owners have other options for managing their money, and we’re honored that they continue to choose Northwest Federal as their financial partner. ‘Why Do I Northwest? Day’ was our chance to show our members how much we appreciate the opportunity to serve them,” he said.
The Credit Union encouraged members to bring their friends and family to the day’s events. Guests who opened accounts that day will receive a $25 deposit in their savings account, as will the member who referred them as a token of appreciation for the referral.
To mark National Credit Union Youth Month, Northwest Federal also offered special promotions for children and young adults who opened accounts. McDonald says he believes the programs for children and teens are especially important.
