OCALA, Fla.–Ocala Community Credit Union celebrated its 70th anniversary with a Hawaii beach-themed cookout for its members.
Ocala Community Credit Union was chartered on August 19, 1953 and celebrated August 25 with a cookout featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, potato salad, chips, lemonade, cold water bottles, cookies, dried pineapples bites, popcorn, cupcakes, and more. OCCU reported many members turned out for the event.
President/CEO Steven Nazaruk and the credit union’s loan manager helped to do the cooking, and said they didn’t have time to take all the photos necessary to capture all the members that stopped by. In addition, OCCU said its operations supervisor was busy, too, popping popcorn in her office and bringing them out in bags for members.
