ELMONT/OCEANSIDE, N.Y.–Ocean Financial FCU has completed its annual Holiday Food Drive to benefit local families in need. Donations that were accepted at OFFCU branches were delivered to the food pantry at St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
“We have always had a vested interest in the health and welfare of our community and the people in it,” said Joe Tedesco, president & CEO of OFFCU. “This is our 8th year completing our food drive and it gets better every year. It is so important that we help those who are less fortunate or who maybe have fallen on hard times. By lifting up those who need it, we elevate everyone.”
As part of the drive, OFFCU accepted non-perishable food, household and personal care items. These items included, baby food, shelf stable milk, canned goods, sponges, garbage bags, baby products, paper products as well as other items such as blankets and clothing.
