HERNDON, Va. - Northwest Federal Credit Union announces the addition of Joanna Oliva as Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer to the Executive Team.
“Joanna is experienced in building the teams and infrastructure to strengthen and grow companies. Her expertise in operational and executive management has proven valuable across industries. Joanna brings substantial expertise in finance, investments, risk management, and executive development to the Northwest Federal leadership team,” says Chris McDonald, President/CEO. “We are a growing organization, and we’re excited to draw upon her extensive knowledge of financial strategy and leadership as we plan our next chapter.”
At Northwest Federal, Oliva leads major parts of the operation including the finance, controllership, human resource, operations, branch, and e-services divisions. She works to ensure that the Credit Union thrives and continues to be an important resource its members can count on for a lifetime of financial services and support. Her proficiencies in liquidity management, sustainable balance sheets, and business partnerships are an invaluable asset to the organization.
“Joanna has considerable experience managing sustainable risk and finance practices as well as an ability to develop customized solutions for intelligent growth,” says McDonald. “We know Northwest Federal and its members will benefit from her contributions to the Credit Union.”
Oliva holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Her leadership training includes executive education from Wharton, Thunderbird, London School of Business, and Center of Creative Leadership.
