CORVALLIS, Ore.– Oregon State Credit Union has promoted Assistant Manager of Business Services Josh Whisenhunt to Director of the department and will promote Kim Carson into his prior role as the Assistant Manager. Both will remain at the credit union’s main branch at 1980 NW 9th Street in Corvallis.
This is Whisenhunt’s fourth promotion within the credit union’s business services department since arriving in 2006.

In his decade with the department, the credit union has grown the member business lending portfolio from $16.7 million to more than $110 million. Whisenhunt has certifications from Credit Union National Association’s Business Lending Credit Analysis program and the Credit Union Business Group’s Cash Flow Analysis program. Prior to the credit union, Whisenhunt worked for US Bank in a lending role for four years.
The Oregon State University graduate and former All-American wrestler is originally from Stayton, Oregon. He has volunteered as a Corvallis Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and Greeter and devotes countless hours to the Orange Crush Wrestling Club.
Of his move to lead the Business Services team, Whisenhunt said, “I look forward to continuing our tradition of providing unsurpassed service and a full selection of financial solutions to our statewide member businesses.
Carson returned to her Corvallis roots in joining the credit union’s business services department in 2014 after working for Bank of the Cascades as an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager in Boise, Idaho.

She had 12 years of previous lending experience after receiving her undergraduate degree at Boise State University. During her years in Idaho, she volunteered for the United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior League of Boise, Young Professionals and worked with local chambers.
