HARRISBURG, Penn.– PSECU has been named one of the Top 100 Organizations of 2017 by Pennsylvania Business Central (PBC), a business-to-business publication serving Central Pennsylvania. The Top 100 organizations are selected by the publication from reader nominations based on three core components: consistent growth; commitment to honest business practices; and community giving.
This year, a record number of Top 100 Organization nominations were received from across PBC’s 20-county coverage area.
“To be nominated for – and selected as – one of Pennsylvania Business Central’s Top 100 Organizations is truly an honor,” said PSECU President Greg Smith. “As a trusted financial partner, our goal is to provide high quality, member-focused products and services coupled with ongoing community outreach and involvement. Recognition like this confirms that we are on the right track in meeting our members’ wants and needs.”
According to PBC Editor Spencer Myers, inclusion as a Top 100 Organization requires a company or organization to be an asset to the community. They can be an asset because of their commitment to charity and volunteering, or because they create a strong employment base or attract other businesses to the area.
Following PSECU’s recognition as a Top 100 Organization, U.S. Sen. Robert P. Casey, Jr. extended his congratulations to the credit union in a letter to PSECU Board Chair Joseph Sassano.
“I want to offer you and your employees my warmest congratulations on PSECU being named by Pennsylvania Business Central as one of the ‘Top 100 Organizations.’ This recognition speaks to the high regard in which your company is held and is a wonderful acknowledgement of all of your hard work, commitment, and leadership,” Senator Casey wrote.
