Parishioners FCU Commits $1 Million To Catholic Community

LOS ANGELES--Parishioners Federal Credit Union is committing $1 million to the Catholic community over the next decade.

This investment aligns with the credit union's strategic initiatives, which focus on expanding impact in the Catholic community through a broader outreach to engage new and existing members, enhancing infrastructure, and supporting the financial health of the community it serves.

The donation will support vital programs under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, including student scholarships through the Catholic Education Foundation's tuition assistance program. These efforts aim to reduce financial barriers for families, ensuring every child has access to a quality Catholic education, regardless of their financial situation. The scholarships funded by Parishioners Federal Credit Union will specifically benefit students in the San Pedro pastoral region, fostering educational advancement and spiritual growth within the community.

"Education is the cornerstone of a thriving community, and we are honored to invest in the future of our youth. This commitment reflects our deep-rooted values and mission to empower families and uplift our community through accessible Catholic education," said Alen Torosyan, President and CEO of Parishioners Federal Credit Union.

In the past year alone, the credit union has demonstrated its commitment to giving by contributing nearly $50,000 to various Catholic events and ministries focused on supporting the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and local Catholic schools, parishes, and church-related organizations throughout southern California, including the entire San Pedro Pastoral Region.

Parishioners Federal Credit Union is dedicated to supporting Catholic causes, investing in education and community programs through donations and volunteering, and serving as a trusted financial partner for its members.

“The Archdiocese of Los Angeles is grateful for our partnership with Parishioners Federal Credit Union. Their commitment builds on our shared mission to support parishes and schools and advance evangelization efforts across the diocese,” said Catherine Fraser, Chief Development Officer of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. “Together, we are building on a legacy of faith, service, and community that blesses countless lives.”
