LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia – Peach State FCU has donated $1,500 to the Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV). Following the Northeast Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions’ Annual Charity Golf Tournament, the proceeds of more than $14,000 were donated to 11 area charities and organizations.
PADV has a vision of a community free of domestic violence and works to end domestic violence through various endeavors. “We provide services to more than 19,000 women and children annually that give them the tools to leave violence behind and create a new beginning. We are able to provide these services at no charge to our clients thanks to supporters like Peach State,” said Susan M. Thigpen, Interim President for PADV.
“The purpose of the annual golf tournament is to generate funds for local organizations like PADV and raise awareness about what they do in our community. We recognize their significance in the health and wellbeing of our community and will continue to look for ways to assist them in any way that we can,” said Laura Ryll, Peach State EVP/COO and Board Member for the Northeast Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions.
