PENSACOLA, Fla.– Pen Air Federal Credit Union was named the Philanthropic Corporation of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Northwest Florida Chapter.
The National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon took place at the Pensacola Grand Hotel in downtown Pensacola, and was presented by Gulf Power Company and Ballpoint Communications Group.
The AFP called for nominations to recognize businesses, nonprofits organizations, and individuals who have made a significant impact in the community through philanthropic efforts. Among the nominators for Pen Air were the University of West Florida, Bear Levin Studer Family YMCA, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida.
“Our mission at Pen Air is to enhance lives,” said Stu Ramsey, president and CEO of Pen Air. “I am humbled to bring this award to our employees, members, and volunteers who support our mission every day, and share a spirit of Communerosity. To know that we are truly enhancing lives in our community by receiving this award gives us so much joy.”
