TYSONS, Va.—The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes will host a Veteran Entrepreneur Program incubator in Boston Oct. 14-16 aimed at helping veterans and military spouses turn early-stage business concepts into launch-ready companies.
The program begins with three days of in-person instruction and networking covering customer discovery, defining value, developing a minimum viable product, financial fundamentals and execution planning. Participants will then receive six weeks of virtual instruction.
“The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes is thrilled to back Boston veterans on their journey from military service to entrepreneurship,” retired U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Terry Williams, director of the Veteran Entrepreneur Program, said. “The incubator provides tailored guidance and practical tools, letting founders build on the natural resilience, adaptability and sharp problem-solving skills they gained in the military.”
The cohort is limited to 20 companies and is offered free of charge, with the foundation taking no equity in participating businesses. The program is targeted to veterans and military spouses with a developed business idea or early prototype who are taking steps toward launch. Participants must live in the Boston area or be willing to commute.
