EAU CLAIRE, WI –During November Royal Credit Union members and non-members donated more than 500 toys during the RCU Holiday Toy Drive. The toys were donated to the Salvation Army.
“RCU had a significant turnout for the toy drive this year. The donations will make this Holiday season very memorable and special for many families. This can be a difficult time of year for many, but thanks to the thoughtful donations form gracious individuals in our communities we can keep the Holiday spirit strong,” states Sarah Jaeger, RCU Marketing Specialist.
Salvation Army Volunteers and employees picked up and kept track of donated toys from each RCU office. Donated toys were delivered to local Salvation Army sites within the communities RCU serves.
The toy drive is just one way RCU is working to make a difference in the lives of others. In 1993, RCU developed the RCU Volunteer Program to promote volunteerism and community spirit. The program is structured to reward those who volunteer at least four hours per month anywhere in the community. Currently, RCU has more than 650 RCU Volunteers who volunteer over 30,000 hours of their time each year to help make our communities a better place to live!
