MENOMONIE, Wis.––Royal Credit Union’s RCU Foundation has gifted $21,000 to Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts (MTCA) for the first phase of facility roof repairs.
MTCA was constructed in 1889 as a tribute to Mabel Tainter, a young woman who loved music and the arts. The 126-year-old facility has been named one of “15 Spectacular Theaters in the World” by CNN Travel.
“A beautiful historic building like this jewel offers unique challenges in funding repairs,” noted Steve Renfree, Executive Director, MTCA. The RCU Foundation's recent donation will cover the cost of a roof study and the first phase of roof repairs, which MTCA can now begin immediately.
The RCU Foundation’s core purpose is to create a positive impact in the communities served by Royal Credit Union. “The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts creates a vibrant arts space serving Menomonie and the surrounding communities. The foundation is pleased to support this landmark,” said John Sackett, President, RCU Foundation.
